The Effects Of Not Drinking Enough Water

Drinking enough water is an important part of life. Many people do not drink enough water which is why it is so important to be careful about your water consumption. Many of us forget to drink water, because of work tensions. If you don’t drink water properly, your body will be dehydrated. Along with dehydration your will have other side effects also.

Weight Gain:

Many times when you do not drink enough water, you tend to confuse your thirst for hunger which may cause you to eat more, resulting in weight gain.  This problem is more for the people who does more exercise. As you drink less water while doing exercise, the energy stored in the body will be consumed. Therefore after exercise, you feel more hungry and tend to eat more food. On the other hand, when you drink good amounts of water your metabolism is boosted rather than being slow and sluggish. in.

Fatigue and tiredness

You might experience fatigue and tiredness as a result of dehydration, when you are not drinking water. When the tissues and cells of your body do not get enough water, the enzymatic activity slows down, preventing the body from producing energy.

Constipation and digestive problems

When you do not drink sufficient water, you do not have enough liquid to eliminate the undigested foods from the body, which results in the accumulation of toxins. This leads to constipation which may further lead to digestive disorders such as bloating, gas, irritable bowel syndrome, stomach pain, nausea and loss of appetite in chronic cases.

Dryness in Skin:

When you do not drink sufficient water, skin will become very dry. Before applying moisturizer to the dry skin check whether the amount of water you are drinking is sufficient or not.

Muscle cramps

If you are not drinking enough water, you’re more prone to getting cramps. Involuntary muscle contraction or spasms occur when the nerves, that are connected to your muscles do not have sufficient water and sodium surrounding them. This causes hypersensitivity and involuntarily contraction of muscles.
