Amazon India Fashion Week Autumn/Winter’16 Day 3 schedule

The accessory show saw some lust-worthy baubles in silver and gold at Mine of Design by Sahai Ambar Pariddi. It was a show of bold bright accessories in mix of peals, beads, coral turquoise. Golden tassels, punk rock body chains, shells, golden and multicolored studs was all we saw.

We literally visited the Mughal at the Valliyan show with its exquisite collection. Golden tassels, punk rock body chains, shells, golden and multicolored studs was all we saw.

Stunning beaten dull golden jewelry, head gears in fantasy shapes against the reds was the star of the show for Vasundhara. Statement accessories, maharani haars, bejeweled beauties, nature inspired jewelry, victorian coin jewelry and the wow so gorgeous graphic eyes were the sartorial statement for the shows. Model turned VJ was Archana Vijaya closed the show for Vasundhara.

Formal meets the casual with a twist of sports wear at the Chandrani Siingh Flora’s “Ode To Shiva” collection. Dhoti pants, ombre sarees, printed jackets and skirts dominated the runway.

Pinnacle Shruti Sancheti “The Poetry of Instanbul” the print heavy collection block prints, florals and fluid silhouettes came together in a beautiful amalgamation in vibrant earthy hues with sharp tailoring for the modern work dressing. The beautiful Aditi Rao Hydari closed the show.

Antar Agni by Ujjwal Dubey had a spartan of unisex clothing in muted hues and earthy tones with asymmetric hems, dramatic drapes and buttoned down detailings. Comfort met with contemporary minimalist silhouettes at the Antar Agni show. The red sock alert was the rocking sartorial statement at the show.

An ode to the modern globetrotter, Divyam Mehta’s line included samurai trousers, gilets, trenchbandhgalas, double breasted suits paired with desert boots and animal print sneakers. Jackets hand quilted with kantha embroidery in wood grain patterns had us swooning.

A regal affair at Rohit Kamra in an array of cutwork and gingham jackets with upturned collars, and sherwanis with pencil pants paired with monkstrap shoes and boots.

Coachella by Reynu Taandon was a colorful collection with an amalgamation of prints, bright hues, 70’s and nature inspired motifs and kaleidoscopic prints in relaxed contemporary silhouettes, they made for such a pretty picture!

Anupamaa by Anupama Dayal, she turns to Nagaland for inspiration for her stunning Autumn Winter’16 colletion. Geometric prints, head pieces, tribal jewelry, tribal prints and tribal vibes were all that we loved at the show. Shoes don’t go with collection (sartorially speaking) – the model were seen without shoes, which totally complimented the collection. Graphic eyes were taken to a new level at the show with blue colored strokes, which seems to an upcoming fashion trend.

A melange of the Memphis art movement and the milky way, Sanchita presented oversized, boxy and A-line shapes. Memphis inspired patchworks, embroidered bomber jackets, net tops, polka dot tights, sparkling sweatshirts, shirt dresses and faux fur skirts made a stunning appearance. Lace-up ankle boots, pointy sneakers and ballerinas punctuated the galactic line.

European cavalries of 18th and 19th century inspired the pomp and splendour of martial uniforms at Pankaj and Nidhi. Braids, cord-work, medals and badges were used as embellishments on hues such as blues, greens, earthy olives and ochres. Merino wool, heavy crepes and striped grosgrain fabric were used to stunning effect.

Day 3 ended with menswear show by Ashish N Soni, Abhishek Gupta, J J Valaya, Rajesh Pratap Singh, Rohit Bal, Rohit Gandhi + Rahul Khanna, Troy Costa & Varun Bahl
